Dark green

It is a soothing dark green. In ancient times, dark indigo was also called dark green. This is probably because in Japan it was customary to call the green color blue. There is a poem in the Shinkokin Wakashu (Anthology of Ancient and Modern Japanese Poetry) that goes as follows The meaning of the poem seems to be that the evergreen cedar cannot resist the rain, and that the cedar looks like a woman who cannot refuse a man's invitation. The contrast between the deep green calmness of the cedar leaves and the wavering feelings is striking.
