Tokiwa-iro

The deep green color of the evergreen tree is a symbol of immortality and longevity. Its English name is evergreen, which also means an enduring work of art, such as a masterpiece, a masterpiece of painting, or a masterpiece of music. It seems to me that there is no longing for eternal youth, but rather a sense of awe at the mysterious life force that has survived the long history of the tree.
