Tetsukon-iro

A dark blue with the purple reduced. The color name Tetsukon was not taken from the color of actual iron, as the English word "iron" is. It is thought that the name of iron (tetsu) was given to a blackish navy blue (kon) through the customs of indigo dyers (kon'ya).
