Kon-ai

A deep blue-purple. The name combines kon and ai from indigo dyeing, but it is apparently seldom seen in historical documents, and compared with the stylish culture of indigo-dye color names it may seem a little plain. In JIS it is given a hue of 9PB and is registered as the color closest to purple among indigo-dye color names.
