Kachi-iro

#444B5B

A dark purplish blue. It is also written as 褐色 or 搗色. 搗色 is the color dyed by pounding (tsuku) the cloth so that the dye soaks in well. When 褐色 is read "kasshoku," it means a brownish color, but when it is read "kachi-iro," it is an indigo-dyed color.
