Akane-iro
#9D2932 A slightly dark red dyed with pigment taken from the roots of madder. It is a representative color of autumn and is apparently often used to describe sunsets and autumn leaves. Akiakane is the general name for dragonflies with red bodies. The scene of red dragonflies flying over rice ears turning golden at the autumn harvest, under a sky turning Akane-iro, is truly Japanese.
