Kariyasu-iro

Kariyasu is a perennial grass of the grass family (Poaceae) that resembles susuki (Japanese silver grass), and this is the color dyed with a liquid made by chopping the grass finely and simmering it. Kariyasu was easy to obtain, and it was used as the color of clothing for low-ranking officials and common people.
