Sango-iro

A color brighter and stronger in hue than Momo-iro. Red coral and pink coral have long been used for ornaments. In China, coral is counted among the Seven Treasures (gold, silver, lapis lazuli, crystal, coral, and agate). In ancient Egypt, coral was a symbol of kings, and in Japan it is regarded as something that wards off evil and brings good luck.
