Yellow (the color of amur corktree bark)

This bright yellow color is dyed by the yellow bean, a deciduous tree belonging to the genus Kihada of the tangerine family. Paper dyed with yellowish base dyes is less likely to be eaten by insects, and the color seems to have spread more because of this effect than because of any preference for the color.
