Nanohana-iro (rape blossoms)

It is bright yellow like rapeseed flowers. It was created to distinguish it from rapeseed oil color when rapeseed oil began to be distributed from the Warring States Period to the Edo Period. The rapeseed flower field seems to have spread during the Edo period ("Rape blossoms, the moon is to the east and the sun is to the west" (Yosako Buson).
