Here, we introduce the "Color Coordinator Certification (Standard Class) Support Course," hosted by the Color Science Association of Japan, Tokai Branch and endorsed by the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Course Overview

This program is a four-session online course designed to support your study for the Color Coordinator Certification® Standard Class. From complete beginners to those aiming to become professional color coordinators, the course offers clear explanations of the foundational knowledge needed to pass the exam. The instructors are board members of the Color Science Association of Japan, Tokai Branch.

📝 Note

The "Standard Class" is an introductory level that focuses on the fundamentals of color. Its structure makes it approachable even for those studying color for the very first time.

Key Content

The course follows the chapter structure of the official textbook and proceeds across the following four dates.

  1. Session 1 (Aug 22): Chapter 1 "The Functions of Color" & Chapter 2 "Light and Color"
  2. Session 2 (Aug 29): Chapter 3 "Methods of Communicating and Recording Color"
  3. Session 3 (Sep 19): Chapter 4 "Color Combination and Color Harmony" & Chapter 6 "Color and Business"
  4. Session 4 (Sep 26): Chapter 5 "How We See Color and Psychological Color Phenomena"

From the mechanics of how we perceive color to color harmony theory and applications in business, the course approaches color from many angles. It goes beyond mere exam preparation, giving you the foundational knowledge to work with color in everyday life and on the job.

💡 Tip

Thanks to the endorsement of the Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a special course that includes the official textbook is available this time (limited to the first 10 applicants). If you don't yet own the textbook, this is a great opportunity.
