Mizu-Asagi (Japanese name for water lily)

This color name is given to a color that is neither light blue nor light blue. It is considered the second lightest color in indigo dyeing after bottle peep. There remains a willow poem, "Oyabun wa mizu-asagi ni katte Otoko" ("Oyabun is a man who wears even mizu-asagi"), which may mean that the color of the prison uniform was mizu-asagi. The indigo dye color names in order of lightest to lightest are: light blue, bottle peep, water asagi, asagi, light blue, light blue, shallow blue, nondo, indigo, dark blue, and so on.
