persimmon (or kaki) color

It refers to the color of a persimmon fruit. It usually refers to the color of the fruit of the teru or yamato persimmon, and is one of the three colors used in the formal curtains of kabuki. In the past, brown (kakishibu-iro) dyed with persimmon tannin was also called kakishibu-iro. Since the Edo period (1603-1867), it seems to have been used as a vivid orange color.
