Iron blue

This color looks like a combination of iron and indigo. There does not seem to be much to note what this color was used for. During the Edo period, many expressions were created by crossing the two color names. Both indigo and iron were used for finely woven kimonos with fine stripes and komongara patterns, but no words seem to have been invented to describe the fineness of the weave.
