Sea pine color (Miru-iro)

Umarimatsu is a seaweed that grows below the low tide line on the seashore.

Umamatsu was a preserved food offered to the Imperial Court in ancient times. It seems to have been popular as a color for middle-aged and elderly people during the Edo period (1603-1868).
