Wasurenagusa-iro

A gentle, slightly purplish blue like the forget-me-not. The color name was born when forget-me-nots were imported in the Meiji period. There is a German legend about the forget-me-not. It is said that a young man who went to a small island to pick blue flowers for his sweetheart was caught in a rapid current, and the last words he cried out were "Do not forget me." From this, the English name of the flower became "forget not me."
