Negishi color

#807F69

This is the color of earthen walls coated with wall clay obtained in Negishi, located in present-day Taito-ku, Tokyo. Negishi is also famous as the home of the Japanese bush warbler, and the color Negishi-iro has a hint of warbler color; the name of the JR station "Uguisudani" is a remnant of this. In the Edo period, astringency was considered "iki," and the color was also known as Negishi Negishi Rat or Negishi Tea.
