Kobi Cha

The name "kobicha" is a pun on "kelp tea" and is now called "kobicha". Kobi" is a guess. It was loved by the common people of Edo during the reign of Yoshimune Tokugawa, the 8th shogun of the Edo period. Some of the color names of the Edo period are elaborate in the sense of the word, without caring about the description or transmissibility of the color.
