Rindo-iro

A slightly pale purple named after gentian flowers. Gentian blooms from September to November. Its root is used in Kampo herbal medicine, and because its intense bitterness was likened to the gall of a dragon, the kanji for "dragon" and "gall" were assigned to it. Along with the balloon flower, it is a flower that represents autumn in Japan.
