Sakura-iro

A color name taken from the color of cherry blossoms. It is considered the palest shade of beni (safflower) dyeing. It is an elegant, gentle color that the Japanese have loved since ancient times. Cherry petals dancing in the spring breeze, known as sakura-fubuki (a blizzard of cherry petals), create a beautiful and delicate atmosphere, as if in a dream.
