Sakura-iro

#FCEEEB

A color name taken from the color of cherry blossoms. It is considered the palest shade of beni (safflower) dyeing. It is an elegant, gentle color that the Japanese have loved since ancient times. Cherry petals dancing in the spring breeze, known as sakura-fubuki (a blizzard of cherry petals), create a beautiful and delicate atmosphere, as if in a dream. Cherry blossoms have many expressions, such as hana no ame (rain in cherry blossom season) and hika (flying petals), each with its own charm.
